Artificial Intelligence Short Courses

About

Building capability for the AI transition through expert-led training and applied workflow prototyping.

The Artificial Intelligence Short Course is a professional development program for people and organisations adapting to the AI transition.

The course focuses on practical AI capability, AI agents, workflow improvement, responsible use, and human-AI collaboration. It is designed for professionals across government, consulting, industry, research and academia who need to understand AI clearly, use it effectively, and apply it with judgment in real work settings.

Delivered by academic and industry experts, with contributions from practitioners working across applied research, policy, business, technology and organisational change, the course brings current AI developments into a practical learning environment. Participants work with concepts, tools, examples and applied exercises that connect AI capability to everyday professional decisions and workflows.

The course is for leaders, managers, analysts, advisors, consultants, planners, policy officers, researchers and teams who need strong foundations in AI and a practical understanding of how it is changing work, organisations and professional practice.

The course is offered in both in-person and online formats. In-person participation is encouraged for live demonstrations, peer discussion, workshops and prototype development.

Covers: AI foundations, machine learning concepts, language models, AI agents, workflow design, responsible use, human-AI teaming, lean canvas prototyping and practical applications.

An eye-opening and transformative experience. The Coastal Resilience Short Course reshaped how I approach coastal planning — moving beyond technical fixes to embrace systems thinking, meaningful community engagement, and long-term adaptation.
